The results of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election have exposed a divided nation and have left many groups on campus feeling insecure and concerned for their future. The results also indicate that many voters do not see sustainability as relevant to their concerns and, indeed, the new administration has suggested that it intends to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement and roll back or repeal a variety of social and environmental protections. With a theme of “Stronger in Solidarity,” the 2017 AASHE Conference & Expo will focus on how the campus sustainability community can break down walls, build bridges, and continue to make progress toward a healthy and equitable future for all.
AASHE 2017 will convene a diverse group of attendees including faculty, students, sustainability officers, administrators, business partners, nonprofit representatives, government officials, and community members to take stock, examine and try to answer:

All accepted presenters must be able and willing to present at AASHE 2017. All costs to attend - including registration, travel and lodging - are the responsibility of each presenter.
